Books by the Beach is a Global English Reading Society for professionals who are already proficient in English and ready to go further. Through structured deep discourse, our members sharpen their presentation skills, strengthen their analytical thinking, and grow into more confident communicators.
We are not a casual book club. We are a community of driven individuals committed to becoming better problem solvers, critical thinkers, and visionary leaders — one conversation at a time.

해외 유학 후 국내에 돌아와 오로지 영어로만 소통하는 환경에 노출되기 위해 정말 애썼어요. 다양한 모임들을 참여해봤는데, 제가 유일하게 멤버로 등록해서 1년 넘도록 꾸준히 참여한 커뮤니티는 BBB 뿐이에요. BBB에서 쌓은 훌륭한 네트워크 덕에 좋은 회사로 이직도 하게 됐습니다.
As an expat in the IT field, it's been incredibly hard to find a community here in Korea — to not only connect with others, but enjoy growth-focused, thought-provoking conversations with people of various backgrounds. But with BBB, my life in Korea has forever changed. I can't believe I get to enjoy such intelligent discussions through reading amazing books, while making wonderful friendships with great people!
4개월 단 한번도 빠짐 없이 리딩 모임에 참여해서 매달 한권씩 완독을 했어요. 5개월 째에 해외에 출장을 나가게 됐는데, 영어 발표는 물론 네트워킹까지 전혀 떨지 않고 너무 수월하게 — 정말 깜짝 놀랬어요!
6개월 동안 BBB와 독서한 후 해외유학을 떠나게 됐어요. BBB를 통해 축적했던 엄청난 독서량과 어휘량, 그리고 무엇보다도 즉흥 발표가 정말 큰 도움이 됐습니다. 영어 실력이 부족하더라도, 늘 영어로 의견을 나누고 발표했던 경험이 몸에 베여있었기에, 얼마 지나지 않아 학교에서 손 들고 발표도 하고, 적극적인 태도로 임할 수 있었습니다.
외국에서 산지 8년이 넘었는데, 늘 영어에 대한 콤플렉스가 너무 강했어요. 근데 8개월 동안 BBB의 프레임워크를 따라 독서하고, 기록하고 발표를 했더니 심리적인 장벽이 완전히 무너져 버렸어요. BBB, 정말 적극 추천합니다!
